The difficult part of localizing a finished product graphic is rarely obtaining a translated sentence. It is fitting that sentence back into an image when the words have been flattened into the pixels and nobody has supplied the original design file. Ricalco is built for this handoff. It works from the JPG or PNG a client already has and tries to replace the English while preserving the surrounding product image.

The official workflow accepts JPG or PNG images containing English text, up to 10 MB each, with up to 30 images in a batch. Each batch uses one target language. French, German and Spanish are the verified choices. This makes the product relevant to localized product callouts, comparison graphics and store imagery, but not a confirmed solution for translating an entire multilingual website.

Translate the message while protecting the product

Imagine a creator selling a reusable bottle with five images explaining size, insulation and care. Before translating, list the brand, model name, measurements and any technical terms that must stay unchanged. Ricalco provides keep-unchanged terms and preferred translations. Use those controls before processing, because a model may otherwise treat a brand name as an ordinary word.

Its described pipeline detects text, translates it, redraws text areas and checks the result against the original. The product photo is not supposed to be regenerated as part of that workflow. This narrower editing approach is the important distinction from asking a general image generator to remake the entire advertisement in another language.

The provider explicitly acknowledges that line breaks, fonts, spacing and background fills may differ. Inspect both meaning and design. A translated sentence can be correct but too small to read on mobile, or a strong headline can obscure a measurement that buyers need. Compare each output with the original at full resolution and at its actual storefront size.

A useful review has two owners: someone checks the language and someone checks the asset. The first person looks for changed meaning, awkward phrasing and mistranslated brand terms. The second compares product shape, measurements, callout placement and readability. They may be the same person, but the checks are different. Passing a visual similarity check does not establish that a translated product claim is correct.

For paid results that need adjustment, the stated Needs fix process includes one free retry, either from the original or on chosen lines. Per-line wording is useful when a fluent reviewer has a better phrase. It is still possible that you will need a conventional image editor afterward. The automatic check is a provider quality control, not independent proof that every translated claim is accurate.

A batch budget depends on languages as well as images

The research-date offer included the first three image translations free. Paid packs were $19 for 30 translations and $59 for 100, with no subscription and credits described as non-expiring. These are ordinary published packs, not a Picktool-exclusive deal. We have no merchant agreement that would justify an exclusive badge or special coupon claim.

One source image translated into all three supported languages needs three image translations. A 30-image set in French, German and Spanish therefore represents 90 deliverables, rather than 30. That distinction is more useful for quoting a localization job than the headline pack price alone. Check credit-return conditions on the current pricing page before committing a client deadline.

Suppose a shop has twelve finished graphics and wants all three supported languages. The job contains 36 image translations. A 30-credit Starter pack cannot cover that complete set, even though there are only twelve original files. The free allowance may help you inspect representative samples, but it should not be used to quote an entire multilingual job until you understand which attempts and delivered results consume the paid balance.

Review, deliver and archive within the file window

Ricalco states that original and translated images, batch details and review feedback are deleted three days after the batch starts. Its policy also describes external AI providers receiving the images and translation rules. This is a hosted processing service; it should not be labelled an offline or device-only editor.

Use materials you are authorized to process and download the final ZIP into your own project archive after review. Keep an original, the approved translation text and the delivered graphic together. Deletion can be helpful for limited retention, but it also means the service is not your permanent client asset library.

Shortlist it when your immediate problem is localized text inside finished ecommerce graphics and the target language is supported. If you already have a well-maintained editable design system, changing text in the source file may provide more exact typography. If you need Arabic, Urdu or translation from a non-English original, this verified workflow does not establish support.

A sensible first trial uses a non-confidential image with brand names, small text and a longer translated sentence, then asks a fluent reviewer to assess both meaning and layout before expanding to a batch.
